*Welcome to the Mayflower Society website !* I hope you find the stuff here interesting and useful. The Mayflower Society has been running for over 30 years. Based in Southampton it warmly welcomes Transvestites, Transsexuals, their friends and families from all over the south. The Society provides social opportunities, ranging from Sunday afternoon tea once a month, to frequent Disco's and an Annual Ball. The Society also provides practical support to members, and their relatives. The events, affiliated groups and useful links and magazine pages are updated frequently - so browse into them to be up to date. *Tina G* End of an Era - The Last Stiletto Night @ Minstead 2nd July 2009: The Last Minstead meeting has now passed - I think we can all thank Pammy and her team for all their efforts in running this meeting. For those that were there it was a good last night. The Numbers Game: Following on from the MINSTEAD news, its is generally the case that the number of people attending most meetings is down, and not just the seasonal (light nights) drop off. I think we can all guess that the current economic climate has a lot to do with that. I would urge everyone to make the effort to keep going to our meetings, importantly, to keep up the personal face to face contact - so vital as mutual support- whether you go to Mayflower or other meetings (Cameo, Fabuliss etc...).
